Bernhard DänekasBernhard Daenekas was born on 07 July 1926 in Oldenburg. From 1940 to 1943 he was an apprentice in a well-known shop in Weener. He has also observed the trains from Kamp Westerbork, together with his colleagues. The trains stopped in Weener to provide the people with a little water. Nevertheless, life went on as normal. Bernhard Daenekas remembers that the trains arrived in Weener every Tuesday noon.
