Adele Schlenkermann-Swart

Adele Schlenkermann-SwartAdele Schlenkermann-Swart was born in 1922. In the 1940s she, like her mother, has seen the transports of Jews from Kamp Westerbork. At this time Adele was a worker in a household and was able to watch the trains on her way to work. Her mother told Adele that she has seen the people inside the cattle cars when the transports stopped in Weener and brought them some water. Adele never saw the people by herselft because the doors of the wagons always were remained closed.
